Models Own Now at Forever 21

Have you heard the news? Thanks to several of you for mentioning this to me over the weekend, and thanks to reader Kristen for sharing this pic:

For those unfamiliar, Models Own is a popular UK-based makeup and nail polish brand. Their products are a little bit challenging to find here in the US these days (I believe they're mostly sold through online retailers), so if you're a Models Own fan, or have been wanting to try some of their products, it's your lucky day! You can now purchase Models Own cosmetics on the Forever 21 site HERE. As of the time of this post, the makeup products are also sold in-store, but the nail polishes are web-exclusives.

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to share this tip with us, and thanks to Kristen for the image!

Beauty Clearance Sale + Free Shipping (No Minimum Required) at Urban Outfitters

I mentioned that Urban Outfitters was having a beauty clearance sale in my Labor Day Beauty Sale Round-Up, but they just posted a code for FREE SHIPPING to go along with it! Check it out:

some of the deals currently available on the Urban Outfitters beauty sale page

Now through 3AM ET on 9/3, enter code FALLFREESHIP on the Urban Outfitters site to receive free shipping on all orders, no minimum order required. NOTE: you will have a chance to enter this code during the "order review" stage before you commit to purchasing. I just tested it out and it DOES work on sale/clearance merchandise.

CLICK HERE to view the beauty clearance page (lots of nice deals on brands that are harder-to-find here in the US).

LORAC Skinny Palettes on HauteLook Tuesday (9/2)

Thanks to readers Pamela and @k1mbu0y on Instagram for this tip!

Starting tomorrow (9/2) at 8AM Pacific, the 2014 Nordstrom Anniversary LORAC Skinny Palettes will be on HauteLook. I've done several posts about these palettes over the past few months (for $15 they're a STEAL) and both the Nude and Navy Skinny Palettes seem to be constantly in and out and back in stock on both the LORAC site and Zappos site

You get free shipping with no minimum order required on the LORAC and Zappos sites, so I'm not sure what the draw will be when these are on HauteLook. Perhaps they'll be less than $15 each (wishful thinking, I know!). Or maybe they'll offer the Plum Skinny Palette, which is a Nordstrom Rack/HauteLook-exclusive. That would make a lot of sense, right?

So if you've been wanting the Plum Skinny Palette, I would set a reminder NOW to log on to HauteLook right at 8AM Pacific tomorrow (Tuesday, 9/2) just in case. I have a feeling it will sell out quickly if it's available.

Also, the China Glaze and Seche Vite sale on HauteLook started today. There are lots of China Glaze glitters for $4 each, and Seche Vite Top Coat is $5.

Thanks again, Pamela and @k1mbu0y, for the great tip!

Freeman Beauty: Free Shipping on Orders $15+ All Month Long

One of the most common complaints that I heard when I reviewed the Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Scrub was that some of you aren't able to find that product locally. I have also heard that some of you can't find various Eclos products (such as my favorite primer) and C. Booth products locally. So for those of you who have been wanting to stock up or try something new from Freeman, Eclos and/or C. Booth, here's your chance:

All month long (now through 9/30), get free shipping on all orders of $15+ on the Freeman website with code 30DAYSHIP. This code of course applies to anything from the Freeman brand, including Feeling Beautiful, Bare Foot, Eclos, C. Booth, etc.  And don't forget that you also get free samples with every order.

Sneak Peek: NEW Black Radiance Soft Focus Finishing Powder

Thanks so much to reader Marie for this one! Marie let me know that Black Radiance (from the makers of Wet n Wild) just shared a sneak peek of one of their 2015 products on Facebook:

Coming in 2015: Black Radiance Soft Focus Finishing Powder

I've heard good things about Black Radiance face products from many of you (due to my skintone, which is NC20, I can only wear their foundation primer and color cosmetics such as eyeshadow, lipstick, blush, etc.). Hopefully this will be a hit for those of you with deeper skintones--I'd love to know what you think if/when you give it a try next year!

Thanks so much, Marie, for the scoop about this sneak-peek!

The Weekly Drugstore Makeup Sales (8/31 - 9/6)

It's the beginning of the month so you know what that means: new beauty coupons and monthly deals! Take a moment to check out the printable coupon links below, as well as the new monthly sales for Sally Beauty (link at the very bottom of this post). Also, now through 9/6, Ulta is offering 20% off your entire purchase in-store or online (click here for coupon and restrictions). Thanks to several of you for that tip!

The Lipstick League - week of 8.25.14

Lipstick League Question of the Week

False Lashes: Love ‘em or leave ‘em?

G's answer: As much as I love them on others, I cannot make them work for me even though my sad, sparse, short lashes really could use the boost. They always look incredibly fake on me, and I owe that to not trying enough styles and also my incredible lack of application skills. Maybe someday I'll find the right pair...and learn how to better apply them!

Lipstick League Links of the Week

EauMG - found an amazing budget-friendly amber perfume that smells much more expensive than it $40-ish price tag. Just ignore the packaging and rather odd inspiration...

Glitter.Gloss.Garbage -Sally Hansen’s Pacific Blue switcharoo probably has you down in the dumps. No worries, I have a list of high end and drugstore dupes!

Gouldylox Reviews - Science is advancing so quickly, there is no need to settle. Update your fall routine with these breakthrough products and spend less time getting ready and more time looking fab.

Lipglossiping - puts her undying love for the original bad-girl scent to one side while she does her best to judge Agent Provocateur’s latest release on its own merits.

Review: Flower Kiss Me Twice Lip & Cheek Stick in Can't Re-fuchsia

I'm not a frequent Walmart shopper (I'm more of a Target kind of gal) but I was at Walmart a while back looking for something unrelated to beauty and you know I had to stop by the cosmetics department. It was then that I remembered that Flower by Drew Barrymore released some new products in January of this year. I had really good luck with Flower's Win Some, Rogue Some Creme Blush, so I was excited to try one of the new-for-2014 lip and cheek sticks. I bought Can't Re-fuchsia (love that name) and have been using it for about a month now. So let's take a look!

Flower Kiss Me Twice Lip & Cheek Stick in Can't Re-fuchsia
(retail: $9.98, 0.21 oz)

The Kiss Me Twice Lip & Cheek Sticks from Flower are available in five shades and can be purchased exclusively at Walmart (in-store and online).

Spotted: Boots (women's products) at Walgreens

The Boots men's skincare line has been available in-store and online at Walgreens for a while now. And I think it's safe to say, since Walgreens purchased Boots a while back, that we all assumed the women's lines would eventually end up at Walgreens too. But now it's official! Boots products for women have landed at Walgreens.

Some of you mentioned to me over the past few months that you heard this was going to happen (thank you for those tips), and I want to give a special thanks to reader Toya (@prettytoyaworld on Instagram) for sharing the following pics of the kiosk she recently spotted at her local Walgreens. Check it out:
