Spotted at Ulta: Essence Cosmetics Limited Edition Spring 2015 Spring Break Collection

Well this is exciting! We don't often see limited edition Essence collections at Ulta (they usually pop up at regional retailers like Fred Meyer in the Pacific Northwest and HEB in Texas) but today I have a new Ulta sighting for you compliments of reader @ortizcrystal on Instagram.

@ortizcrystal spotted this limited edition display at her local Ulta this week and kindly shared some pics.

(retail: $2.99 - $4.99 at Ulta)

I enlarged @ortizcrystal's pics so that we could get a better look at everything, and I was able to determine which products are truly limited edition, and which products are repromotes from the core line. Here's a closer look...

Budget Fragrance Find: Truth or Dare Naked by Madonna

As someone who is constantly on a tight budget, and who also has a serious perfume addiction, you learn to be resourceful. Beautiful, budget-friendly fragrances aren't always easy to find, especially if you are tired of the usual selections at mall stores and discount stores. Sometimes you have to research and dig deep to find quality fragrances that won't break the bank and, coupled with a bit of luck, you sometimes stumble across something wonderful. I encounter stinkers sometimes (figuratively and literally) that don't always match up to their online reviews, but every once in a while I stumble across a true, budget-friendly, hidden gem. And when I find a gem like this, I naturally have to share it with you!

Truth or Dare Naked by Madonna
(retail: around $15 on Amazon & eBay, 1.7 oz)

Skincare on a Budget: Dr. Lin Skincare Daily Hydrating Gel

Skincare is EXPENSIVE these days, am I right? I mean, even at the drugstores, a good moisturizer can run you upwards of $25. I've been hearing about the Dr. Lin Daily Hydrating Gel for a few years now, for a number of reasons, but I must admit that the price (between $6 and $8 depending on the retailer) was one of the main factors that pushed me to finally make a purchase.

I've been using this product for several months now (this review is long overdue!) so now that I've had plenty of time to test it, I'd love to share my thoughts with you.

Dr. Lin Skincare Daily Hydrating Gel
(retail: between $6 - $8, 4.0 oz.)

I purchased this jar at my local Bed Bath & Beyond with a Harmon Beauty inside for about $6, but you can also purchase it at Ulta for $7.49 in-store and online (Dr. Lin products happen to be BOGO1/2OFF at Ulta as of the time of this post), Walmart for $5.97 in-store and online, Target for $7.49 in-store and online, and it used to be available at Walgreens and but I see it's out of stock at both retailers right now, so I'm not sure if they'll continue to offer it in the future. At any rate, you have lots of retailers to choose from if you're interested in this product, and it's also available via Amazon if you want to go that route.

(UPDATED) New Beauty Sales for Your Weekend

UPDATE: New sales added to bottom of post.

Here's a quick wrap-up of some new beauty sales to kick off your weekend:

In case you didn't get the email, Sally Beauty is running ANOTHER 50% off red tag clearance sale, now through Sunday, in-store and online

NOTE: If you find any China Glaze polishes on cleararance at your local Sally stores (or you buy them online), check this out:

All China Glaze polishes are currently BOGOFREE at Sally, so I added 2 bottles of Grape Juice to my cart (on clearance for $2.99 each). The price was adjusted per bottle down to $1.49 (red tag sale) and then I ALSO got the BOGOFREE. So final price for TWO China Glaze clearance polishes: $1.49. You cannot beat that!
