theBalm is having another flash sale tomorrow (9/25) for ONE HOUR (Noon to 1PM Pacific) with 50% of the proceeds going to charity. From theBalm's Facebook page:

I know that the last time theBalm did a flash sale like this, their website crashed and several of us went a little crazy trying to get our orders placed (they ended up extending the deadline, etc. etc.). Well I just saw this message that theBalm posted on their Facebooik page about three hours ago:
Hi everyone! We have ran some tests and everything looks good to go for the sale! No crashing this time!
They also confirmed via Facebook that this flash sale will be open internationally, and there will be flat-rate shipping of $4.95 (US only).
Fingers crossed that it's smooth sailing tomorrow! Thanks again, Tanya, for the heads-up about this one!
*dies* I'll be in class then. Darn you College. *shakes fist* But That's why smartphones were invented no? Hope it doesn't crash....

ReplyDeleteHey everyone! So I put my items in my cart about 10 min before the official start time, but then discovered that the sale was already in progress and the reduction had been taken. So I got all the way to final confirmation...and then got the dreaded bad gateway.

The good news is that a kind reader on Instagram told me that theBalm has extended the sale to 2PM Pacific due to the site issues.
I really hope everyone who keeps trying is ultimately able to place an order. I tend to have very low patience when it comes to things like this, so I'm done. :(

ReplyDeleteI tried, but after about 20 times reloading and registering I gave up. I looked in my eyeshadow drawer and looked at all my palettes and told myself it's ok. Haha. Though I really wanted to get that balm jovi palette. Oh well, life goes on. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Balm is a cosmetics company I wouldn't even know about if not for the YT videos from Total Makeup Junkie and Broadcast Beauty. Emily's review of the Balm Jovi palette was the only reason I found this sale tempting. However, I have enough eyeshadows to not be willing to waste my time dealing with the sale.
